Irish Wolfhounds

The Irish Wolfhound is a benevolent, shaggy hound. Originally from Ireland, this breed has been described as sweet-tempered, loyal, and dignified.
In a welcoming, loving home, the Irish Wolfhound offers companionship and is happiest when spending time with you. When trained and socialized properly, Irish Wolfhounds are gracious to other dogs and indoor cats alike.
The Irish Wolfhound is built for the chase and loves a good gallop around the property. Their size may be a deterrent to an intruder, but Irish Wolfhounds do not make good guard dogs by nature.
Your Irish Wolfhound will grow to be 30"-35" at the shoulder, 7 feet tall when standing on their hind legs, and weigh up to 180 pounds. Despite their overwhelming size, Irish Wolfhounds prefer to accompany their family and participate in shared activities before cuddling on the couch at the end of a long day.
For families with plenty of room to roam, the Irish Wolfhound makes a loving companion eager to become a part of your home.
